Additional info/contents	Zwölf Waldhornduette für den praktischen Gebrauch bearbeitet Laut seines Manuskriptes schreib Mozart die vorliegenden Duette 1786 'unterm Kegelscheiben'. Horngeschichtlich sind sie ein interessantes Beispiel der Mischung der frühklassischen, vorwiegend die höchste Lage pflegenden Clarinotechnik mit der damals neu aufkommenden Stopftechnik. Die Stücke dieses Heftes sollen einem möglichst weiten Kreis von Bläsern nahe gebracht werden, daher die Wahl günstiger Tonarten, einige melodische Varianten, die Anwendung unserer heutigen F-Hornnotation und reichliche Vortragszeichen. Twelve Duets For French Horn adapted for practical use As can be seen from the manuscript, Mozart wrote these duets in the Year 1786 'while playing at skittles'. In the history of horn music, these duets give an interesting example of the combination of the early clarino techique and the new 'stopping' system in vogue at the time. The intention of this edition is to introduce these pieces to the widest possible circle of wind players. For this reason the most appropriate keys were selected and a few melodious variants as well as the use of the present-day F-horn notation and the ample dynamics indicated.
