Additional info/contents	"Prelude - Les Chasseresses" comes from the famous ballet Sylvia, actually "Sylvia ou La Nymphe de Diane", and was composed in 1876 by the French composer Léo Delibes. In 1880 Delibes created the orchestral suite on which this transcription was based, with the four movements "Prelude - Les Chasseresses", "Intermezzo - Valse lente", the now world-famous "Pizzicati" and the equally popular "Cortège de Bachus". In 2018 Ricardo Döringer set about transcribing the first movement of this wonderful work for the symphonic wind orchestra. An ideal overture work for every concert.
