Additional info/contents	Pavane pour une infante défunte (Pavane for a Dead Prince) was written for piano in 1899 by the then 24-year-old Maurice Ravel. Ravel wrote a version for symphony orchestra in 1910. Its popularity even became a source of despair for Ravel, who felt that he had written much better pieces after Pavane, but they were much less popular. In this arrangement by Johan de Meij, you can hear why audiences like Pavane so much.
