Additional info/contents	In La Citadella, Kees Vlak depicts a starkly contrasting situation in the Italian mountain village of Assisi. On one side, a horde of tourists visits the cathedral. On the other, there is La Citadella, a complex of buildings where severely disabled people are lovingly cared for by nuns. The dissonant main theme in the trumpet represents the isolation of these individuals within society. At the same time, however, the love and patience of the nuns are also expressed in the music. A powerful and moving contrast!
