Additional info/contents	The famous "Largo" arranged for instrumental or vocal soloist and band. For a long time this was the only selection known from the opera, whose complete score was not rediscovered until 1924. Although Händel composed many lovely broad melodies, his "Largo"is unsurpassed in respect to dignified and touching simplicity. The present version for symphonic band is in the original key of G-major. The solo part can be played by various instruments (in C,B,or Es), but the arrangement is equally suited for vocal performance by a high voice (soprano or tenor), accompanied by the band.
