Additional info/contents	This theme is deliberately kept simple, allowing for all the many different designs and finishes that the piece reveals. The Shaker hymn is treated more rhythmically and - in terms of workmanship - very soberly. These two main themes are alternately, but also combined processed, whereby the whole work shows a total of four larger parts: 1. introduction (rubato): choral arrangement of the two main themes (wood - brass) 2nd Allegro: Theme I and Theme II in Alteration 3. andante: the middle part with use of the shaker hymn 4th Allegro: Reprise of the first Allegro with coda. Themes I and II are combined; also the chorale theme is enlarged to the side."
