Additional info/contents	This piece is a modern fantasy that combines various characteristic impressions of American folk song with the modern show scene. The first part is a rhythmic blues with echoes of the old black pentatonic scale. The change to allegro brings a more lively atmosphere to the stage. Various registers present themselves in a small show block: first the cornets, then the woodwinds and finally the tenors and basses. The following intermediate section takes a short detour into the realm of Dixieland: trumpet and trombone can be heard as solo instruments. A harmonic twist leads to the last part of the piece, in which all registers are contrasted with each other in polyphonic movements. Trombone glissandos dominate and bring the piece to an effective conclusion.
