Additional info/contents	Mathias Wehr's composition "Earthen Echoes Unveiled" (1984), awarded "WASBE's Composition of the Week" in 2024, was written for the 20th WASBE Conference in Korea. The work addresses global challenges such as conflict, crises, and climate change, and explores the question of a better future – inspired by Heraclitus's philosophy of change. As an overture for top-level wind orchestra, it impresses with its energetic timbres and clear structure. The world premiere by the Baden-Württemberg State Wind Orchestra under Björn Bus was perceived as technically outstanding and emotionally moving. The audience responded with prolonged applause and discussed the role of music as a medium for social reflection.
