Additional info/contents	Franz Lehár composed the waltz "Wild Roses," also known as the "Chrysanthemum Waltz," in 1905, which combines the Viennese waltz tradition with romantic elegance. Johann Kieleithner arranged the waltz for wind orchestra, thus enabling a sonic adaptation to woodwind and brass instruments as well as percussion. This arrangement preserves the character of the original and makes the piece accessible to wind bands. It strengthens the wind band tradition and allows the work to be performed in new contexts.
