Additional info/contents	Good times and bad times – we often paint them in images that shine either in somber black and white or in vibrant color. Wonderful landscapes, sleepy villages, places full of peace and harmony – and yet they can suddenly be in the grip of flames. Happiness sinks into misery, but with every end, a new beginning sprouts. From the ashes, the new arises, like a phoenix from the embers. So it has always been, the eternal circle of life that encompasses our earth. Let's imagine: an idyllic landscape, in the middle of the mountains. The cows graze peacefully on the alpine pastures, the sky stretches a deep blue above us, and the warm spring sun casts its golden glow over the world. From a mountain slope, we look down into the village, where peace and quiet reign. It is a place that carries the breath of time within it. But then, as in a dream, the color fades. Black and white take over the stage, and we find ourselves transported back 80 years: It is April 20, 1943. The shadow of World War II has also reached St. Jakob am Arlberg. The swastika flag flutters heavily over the main square, while many of the village's men are serving in the war far from home. On this day, Adolf Hitler's birthday, the drama erupts. A fire ignites – small at first, but fed by wind and wood, it grows into an unstoppable inferno. The flames greedily grasp house after house, and finally, the embers engulf the village's heart: the church. Cries of alarm echo through the streets, panic erupts, and the villagers desperately fight the all-consuming heat. But the bell tower, which once proclaimed the passing of time beyond the village, collapses, and the church burns to its foundations. The village is devastated, the people are left with the ruins of their lives. But amidst the ashes and suffering, the true strength of the community emerges. Shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand, they help each other to rebuild what seemed lost. Slowly, color returns to the images. The wounds heal, the tears dry, and life blooms anew. The village awakens to new splendor, sustained by the hope and strength born from the darkest hours. For such is the cycle of life: From pain grows strength, and from the ashes of the past, the future arises – again and again.
