Additional info/contents	Talisman tells the story of the "Pierre du Serment" (Sworn Stone), which took place in 1639 in the village of Fontenotte on the border between France and Switzerland. The Billod family, consisting of three brothers and their parents, lived peacefully on their farm despite the Thirty Years' War raging around them. When their father was captured by Swedish mercenaries plundering the farm, the three brothers swore to save him by carving their pact in stone, following Celtic and Viking traditions. This work, commissioned by the Orchestre d'Harmonie de Montlebon to celebrate its centenary, pays homage to a local story that has become legendary. With this commission, the orchestra's conductor, Jean-Pierre Frigo, wanted to highlight the orchestra's ties to the region.
