Additional info/contents	Inspired by popular melodies, the work consists of three movements that are played without interruption. The first movement has two contrasting modal melodies: one is very cheerful and lively, the other dark and melodic. Various motifs are developed, creating contrasting musical moments. The second movement is very calm, with a melody that resembles a lullaby. The last movement concludes with a festive dance with a swing feel. This appealing work was commissioned by the Swiss Wind Music Association and is intended primarily for small ensembles or ensembles with a mixed line-up. The length and conception of the piece make it equally suitable for competitions and concerts.
