Additional info/contents	"Of Deprivation & Confidence" was composed in 2022 on behalf of the Bergkapelle Saar and its conductor Bernhard Stopp. The whole piece is based on the first four notes of the famous German miners' song "Glück Auf". This short motif undergoes many mutations of all kinds in the course of the composition: thematically, rhythmically, tempo-wise, instrumentalized... On the one hand, the music describes the hard work and hardships that the miners had to endure, and on the other hand, their hope for a better life.
