Additional info/contents	"Chorale for Peace" is a song of hope and peace for humanity. With this work, the wind orchestra of Le Portel (France) wanted to commemorate the victims of September 8, 1943, when around a hundred Allied planes dropped more than 5,000 bombs on the city of Boulogne and its surroundings. In reality, this operation was nothing more than a diversion to make the enemy believe that a landing in northern France was imminent. The music is slow, an adagio in memory of the human victims of this operation. But in a broader sense, the composer also wanted to express his support for the peoples who still suffer oppression today. This edition includes an optional choral part, which offers the possibility of giving the listener an even deeper impression.
