Additional info/contents
"The Old Hunter" is a wonderful old waltz. The lyrics bring back memories of how "the old hunter from Silbertannental" lived picturesquely on the edge of the forest when he was still alive. Franz Sprenzinger arranged this old song in such a way that it can be performed at any time, even without singing. A piece that always appeals to the audience and encourages them to sing along. The modulation in the last repetition of the chorus is a real eye-catcher and makes this waltz a lively piece in any brass music entertainment program.
