Additional info/contents	“Chorale for Winds” was commissioned by the Allgäu-Swabian Music Association (ASM). The composer Martin Scharnagl’s idea was to create a work that is of low technical difficulty and offers plenty of scope for working on musical parameters such as intonation, interplay and phrasing. In addition to its educational benefits, the composition is also suitable for a wide variety of occasions, such as a warm-up piece for competitions or as festive music for concerts and church events. With his characteristic, unique musical style, Martin Scharnagl creates memorable melodies that are embedded in sometimes surprising harmonic turns. He skilfully lets the thematic material wander through almost all registers and shows not only his deep musical feeling but also his great craftsmanship. Like his successful work “Mountain Wind”, “Chorale for Winds” also impresses with its particularly simple beauty.
