The composition "Pictures of a Village" consists of two different versions: one with and one without the percussion group. When the work is performed without the percussion group, the 3rd movement "Peat Cutters" and the doubling of the orchestral parts by the percussion group in the 6th movement "Olde Maten" are omitted.
