Additional info/contents	The great shows at the Moulin Rouge shaped the collective consciousness of all those who have been involved with it. For decades, a small but fantastic band was part of this internationally renowned cabaret theatre. With the first sounds of Peter Kleine Schaars' composition, one immediately feels transported to the exciting Parisian nightlife. The musette takes us to the Quartier Pigalle, the red light district of Paris, and when the doors of the Moulin Rouge open, the familiar rhythms of a modern disco are heard: a combination of the rhythm units 8 / 4 and 3 / 14. In addition, the composition is characterised by a varied use of the rhythm unit 5. The themes and accompaniments are evenly distributed among all voices.
