Additional info/contents	Anyone who has played in an orchestra for a long time knows that music is one of the most beautiful moments in life, but also one of the most difficult. Making music together can give you strength in difficult times. To a Friend is a wonderfully comforting work for anyone going through a difficult time. Jacob de Haan composed the work for his father-in-law Gerard Bosch, who was a musician through and through. The piece was premiered only a few weeks before his death. On a sunny evening, his friends, the musicians of his two music societies - Oefening Baart Kunst ("Practice makes perfect") Otterlo and the Reünie Orkest Artillerie Trompetterkorps (Reunion Band Artillerie Trompet Corps) - played the work for Gerard.
