Additional info/contents	Granted, it's a little cheating: The well-known Advent text was indeed placed under Handel's melody during Beethoven's lifetime, but only more than twenty years after the composition of these twelve variations. But since nowadays everyone associates the Advent song with the melody first, it is probably justified to give the work the same title. The small pieces, which always have their own character, are originally for cello and piano. Therefore there are variations in which fast notes are to be played. Those who find this too difficult can confidently omit one or the other variation, there are still enough other beautiful ones left. Or you can take up the challenge...
