Additional info/contents	Scarbrough’s 7-minute quartet is a musical response to Galileo’s theory of heavenly motion, "Left to their own devices, things tend to move in circles." In light of Newton having proven Galileo incorrect, the composer has written, "…there is an element of irony in this title, which provides some insight into the music. It struck me as such a beautiful and lyrical thought, I couldn’t resist the impulse to spend a few minutes reflecting on it with notes and rhythms." …In Circles was premiered at the 2017 NFA Convention by Tereasa Payne, Kathryn Scarbrough, Ali Ryerson, and Chris Potter. Scarbroughs 7-Minuten-Quartett ist eine musikalische Antwort auf Galileis Theorie der himmlischen Bewegung: "Eigensinnig bewegen sich die Dinge im Kreis." Im Licht von Newton, der Galileo als unkorrekt bewiesen hat, schrieb der Komponist: "... Es gibt ein Element der Ironie in diesem Titel, das einen Einblick in die Musik gibt. Es fiel mir als ein so schöner und lyrischer Gedanke, dem ich nicht widerstehen konnte der Impuls, ein paar Minuten damit zu verbringen, mit Noten und Rhythmen darüber nachzudenken. " ... In Circles wurde auf der NFA Convention 2017 von Tereasa Payne, Kathryn Scarbrough, Ali Ryerson und Chris Potter uraufgeführt.
