Difficulty level 6
Duration 10:30
Additional info/contents The work begins with a solo horn incantation directed at the occult forces. The end of this incantation is taken up again by the clarinet movement in the form of a litany, which evokes an evil power from the depths, symbolized not only by the disorderly twitching of part of the orchestra, but also by the power of the trombones in the glissandi.
Very quickly the creation of an evil world - with its memories of the incantation theme - takes place and inevitably leads to satanic dance.
This dance represents the universe of Satan with his demons, some of which move in all directions, while others remain in authority and prepare for the coming of the devil. The devil now appears in an organized sound chaos. He is represented by the low brass instruments that confirm his power. The satanic universe again takes the upper hand and plunges the listener into this evil spell full of malicious irony, extreme sarcasm and even insolence. As for the incantation theme, it will bring about a definitive return through the bitter mockery that leaves room for excessive affirmation of the satanic world.
