Additional info/contents	Beckschäfer has spent his musical life in and around Munich. He studied organ, piano, and choral conducting, served as a cantor for several years, and has taught music theory at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München from 1988 to 2001. He has since been teaching at the Hochschule für Musik Augsburg-Nürnberg (through 2007) and then at Nürnberg. We have previously released his Five Christmas Motets and Five Motets for Passiontide. Composed for standard church use, his Missa brevis in A minor is well-suited to an experienced chorus of mixed voices, unaccompanied.
