The work captivates with its catchy melodies, humorous plot, and symphonic orchestration. The storyline is reminiscent of Jules Verne's *Around the World in Eighty Days* and is characterized by comical mix-ups and lively dance forms such as waltzes and polkas. Andreas Simbeni has arranged the operetta for wind orchestra. His version adapts the symphonic orchestration for wind instruments while preserving the musical lightness of the original. The arrangement places high technical demands on the musicians but is ideally suited for concerts and enriches the wind orchestra repertoire.
