Additional info/contents	A peça Reflections on an "Old Japanese Folk Song" (Reflexões sobre uma "Canção Popular Antiga Japonesa") baseia-se na melodia da canção popular Suiryo-Bushi, que está na tradição do instrumento de cordas japonês shamisen. Começa com dois renderings contrastantes da melodia, seguidos de várias variações: cada um num estilo distinto, mas todos baseados na mesma melodia ou em fragmentos da melodia. Numa variação, é também utilizada a escala pentatónica. Finalmente, no scherzo, a parte final da peça, a canção folclórica é ouvida pela última vez.
