It is clear that Debussy was influenced by the Ragtime music that was popular during his lifetime. James Meredith has worked some arranging magic to make this a stunning piece for strings. It retains all of the character and charm of Debussy's music but keeps it within the grasp of advancing string players, making it a welcome addition to the repertoire.
