There are also several anniversaries to celebrate this year for the Dutch composer himself: he has been composing for 50 years and for a proud 25 of those years his works have been published by Rundel. In addition, Kees Vlak has been married for 50 years and celebrated his golden wedding anniversary in 2014. More than enough reasons, then, to create a celebratory composition that gives expression to the special nature of these anniversaries. Kees Vlak has chosen a sonorous and contrasting fanfare.
