Additional info/contents	Concert march Arcade was commissioned by the Foundation for Arts and Culture of the province of Gelderland. This was on the occasion of the biennial event “Monuments in Music”, the musical event during “Monument Day” in September. The work was premiered simultaneously by 40 orchestras at various locations in Gelderland. The march is written in a non - traditional idiom. Two striking corner movements, in which the brass dominates, surround the lyrical Trio in which there is an important role for the saxophone group. The architectural concept of Arcadeis galvanised in the large melodic arcs, which span the musical pillars, as it were. A spectacular and orchestral coda concludes the work.
