Additional info/contents	Manfred Sternberger's composition "The Miners Rhapsody" for wind orchestra uses the traditional miners' song "Glück auf, Glück auf, der Steiger kommt" (Good luck, good luck, the foreman is coming) as its central motif to musically depict the working conditions, emotions, and camaraderie of the miners. The work is divided into different sections: A powerful introduction symbolizes the hard work underground, while a cheerful middle section shows the miners' camaraderie and relaxation. A rhythmically complex section in 5/4 time illustrates the physical exertion, followed by a tranquil "Larghetto" representing the recovery after work. An energetic "Allegro" underscores the miners' pride, and the celebratory conclusion honors their tradition and community. (© musicainfo.net)
