Additional info/contents In the spring of 1912, the largest ship at the time set sail for the first time under the flag of the White Star Line. What was initially hailed as a success of human engineering soon turned into a tragedy of unimaginable proportions. The maiden voyage of the "unsinkable" steamer ended at the bottom of the Atlantic, taking countless lives with it into its dark depths. To this day, the mysterious circumstances of the sinking remain a mystery and continue to attract the attention of various observers.

The piece White Star Liner is based on this story, which has already been processed in many different ways. The opening section in a striding majestoso describes the fascination and speechlessness in the face of the dimensions of the ship that rises up before us. The more upbeat allegro section characterises impressions of the ongoing journey and the pulsating life on deck. This is contrasted with the contemplation of the metal giant as a tiny bright dot in the vastness of the peaceful, nocturnal ocean. However, this peace does not last long. The calm is soon replaced by hysteria, fear of death and tragedy. The bow slowly lowers and the ship begins its journey towards the bottom of the sea, where it will remain forever.
