Additional info/contents	In *In Another Opening*, Neuböck employs entertaining, dance-like rhythmic elements, similar to Klaus-Peter Bruchmann. The orchestra assumes the role of a musical vehicle for ideas. Inventiveness, compositional technique, and orchestration are convincing and thematically appropriate to the work. The piece is witty and lively and could be described as a concertante scherzo. An opening prelude introduces the thematic material, which is based on an ascending pentatonic scale and developed contrapuntally. The song-like section gains additional momentum through syncopated interjections from the accompanying instruments. After a reminiscence of the opening scherzo, a cantabile section follows, featuring beautiful woodwind solos, particularly an expressive alto saxophone solo that lends the passage a dreamy, and later sublime, character.
