Additional info/contents	Written in 1981, the work was awarded the Neil A. Kjos Memorial Award for Outstanding Band Literature in 1984. Commercially redorded by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and the Osaka Municipal Symphonic Band, it has long been a mainstay in the Southern Music Company rental catalog. In it's own way, it is just as dramatic and challenging as Barnes' Third's Symphony. Cast in three movements, with a total duration of 23 minutes, this is definitely serious music for serious bands.
