This tuneful trumpet ballad is lushly supported by colorful woodwind doubles (2 flutes, 2 clarinets, bass clarinet), flugelhorns, and bucket-muted trombones, creating a rich texture beneath the soloist. The alternate SATTB sax parts provide an equally satisfying rendition for bands without doublers.
