Additional info/contents	Festive and sometimes ferocious (but never without elegance), Samuel Zyman’s CONCERTO NO. 2 (MINERÍA) FOR FLUTE AND ORCHESTRA is a neoromantic gem imbued with Mexican folk elements that flutists love to play and audiences love to hear.  The subtitle, “Minería,” honors the Sinfónica de Minería, one of the most celebrated and pioneering orchestras in Latin America. This piano reduction by the composer makes the concerto an effective showpiece for recital performance, as well as for flutists preparing the concerto for performances with orchestra.
