Additional info/contents	Der Rückgriff auf die historisch korrekten Instrumente ist eine wichtige Basis für die Aufführungspraxis. Ebenso wichtig sind aber auch die Spielschulen und Lehrwerke, die für diese Instrumente geschrieben und gedruckt wurden. Sie zeigen detailliert, wie gespielt und artikuliert und in welchen Zusammenhängen das Instrument gebraucht bzw. nicht gebraucht wurde. Bisher galt die Méthode de trompette von C. Eugène Roy als möglicherweise älteste Schule für Klappentrompete und als interessantes Zeugnis für die Geschichte dieses Instruments. Das ist sie auch – aber sie ist noch viel mehr und daher soll sie hiermit weiteren Kreisen der Praxis und der Wissenschaft zugänglich gemacht werden. In ihr sind die virtuosesten Stücke enthalten, die je für Klappentrompete publiziert worden sind und die nun auf modernen und historischen Instrumenten wieder aufgeführt werden können. Die Schule wurde in unterschiedlichen Versionen in fünf Ländern gedruckt. Sie ist aufgrund dieser ungewöhnlich weiten Verbreitung ein herausragendes Zeugnis ihrer Zeit. The use of proper historical instruments is an important prerequisite for modern-day performance practice involving early music, but the instrumental methods written and published during those historical periods are of equal importance because they provide specific and relevant details with respect to how the instruments were played, the types of articulations employed, and under which circumstances instruments were or were not utilized. To date the Méthode de trompette by C. Eugène Roy has been considered to be possibly the oldest method for keyed trumpet and an interesting testimony regarding the history of that instrument. While this is still true, it turns out that its significance extends far beyond these elements. Thus it is important to make it available to new and succeeding generations of performers and musicologists. It contains the most virtuosic pieces ever published for the keyed trumpet, which can therefore be played again on historical or modern instruments. The method was published in different versions in five countries. This unusually wide geographical distribution makes it an unique testimony of its time. Le recours aux instruments historiques correctes est une base importante pour la pratique d'exécution, mais tout aussi importantes sont les méthodes instrumentales qui furent parallèlement conçues et publiées pour ces instruments. Elles montrent en détail comment on en jouait, avec quelles articulations et en quelles circonstances un instrument était employé ou non. A ce jour, la Méthode de trompette de C. Eugène Roy passait pour être la plus ancienne méthode de trompette à clefs et un témoignage intéressant de l'histoire de cet instrument. Il s'avère que sa signification va bien au-delà et c'est la raison pour laquelle elle mérite d'être rendue accessible à de nouveaux cercles d'interprètes et de musicologues. Elle contient les pièces les plus virtuoses jamais publiées pour trompette à clefs qui peuvent ainsi être rejouées sur des instruments tant modernes qu'historiques.
