Additional info/contents	Das Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra nahm mich unter Vertrag als Gast Solo-Tubist für die Spielzeit 2011-2012. Da ich nur meine Baer Bass-tuba mitnehmen konnte, übte ich sämtliche Blazhevich-, Grigoriev-, u.Ä. Etüden und fragte schliesslich Roger Bobo welche Übungen er auf der Basstuba spielte als er noch im Los Angeles Philharmonic war. Seine Antwort: '... was Du willst! Du kannst ja Deine eigenen Übungen schreiben!' Ich folgte seinem Rat und fing an. Bald ging die Sache aber in Richtung Konzertetüden. Allerdings hörte ich in meinem Geist neben der Tuba zusätzliche Instrumente und setzte später diese Noten in einen Klavierpart. Das Werk kann sehr gut mit der Tuba alleine gespielt werden, der Klavierpart bringt jedoch zusätzliche Farben. Since I could only bring my Baer Cc tuba with me (I played through Blazhevich, Grigoriev, etc.), I asked Roger Bobo what he practiced with the Cc tuba when he was active with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. His answer was: '...Whatever! You can write your own etudes for it!' I thought it was a good idea and started... but finally it grow up into solo concert pieces. But in my mind I heard other instruments around the tuba, so later, I wrote these notes down in a piano part. The piece fully functions as an unaccompanied solo piece, but of course, it is more colorful with the piano. But the full Visions came alive surrounded by a chamber group. Il me répondit: '... ce que tu veux! Tu peux écrire tes propres études!' Je l'ai pris au mot et me suis mis au travail, mais finalement les choses ont pris la forme d'études de concert. Toutefois dans mon esprit j'ai entendu d'autres instruments autour du tuba et plus tard j'ai consigné ces notes dans une partie de piano. Cette oeuvre est parfaitement jouable par le tuba seul, mais elle prend évidemment des couleurs supplémentaires lorsqu'on y ajoute le piano.
