Von diesem poetische Bild inspiriert sich das vorliegende Werk: Der Turm der Basilika von Valère wäre ein funkelnder Stern der das ganze Rhonetal erhellt, um sich dann mit Myriaden anderer zu verschmelzen und am Firmament zu leuchten. Valeria besteht aus drei Sätzen: 1. Lente illumination (Langsames Aufleuchten) Sanftes, verschmolzenes Spiel. Je nach Dynamik, Register anpassen 2. Scintillements (Glitzern) Noch sanfteres Spiel, leicht und zart im hohen Register (4' oder 2'; ab Buchstabe F zurück auf 8' und sehr sanft; G zurück auf 4' oder 2') 3. Illuminations célestes (himmlisches Strahlen) Brillante Zungenpfeifen. Bei Buchstabe D sehr sanft, E zurück wie zu Beginn des Satzes, dann zusätzlich grandios registrieren. This poetic image has inspired this music setting: The bell tower of the church of Valère would represent a star illuminating the whole valley of the Rhone river before merging into the vault of heaven and the twinkling of myriad others. Valeria is set into three movements: 1. Lente illumination (slow illumination) Soft and blended playing. Following the dynamics, adapt registers. 2. Scintillements (twinklings) Even softer playing, light and ethereal (4' or 2'; from letter F return to 8' very soft; G return to 4' or 2') 3. Illuminations célestes (celestial illuminations) Brilliant reeds. Letter D very soft, E return to the spirit of the beginning of this movement, then adding grandiose registrations. Et si Valère était la quatorzième étoile des armoiries du canton du Valais? Cette image poétique a inspiré la mise en musique de Valeria: Le clocher de l'église de Valère serait une étoile illuminant toute la vallée du Rhône avant de se fondre dans la voûte céleste où elle scintillerait parmi les autres dans l'incommensurable firmament. Valeria comprend trois mouvements: 1. Lente illumination Jeu doux et bien fondu. Adapter les registres selon les nuances. 2. Scintillements Jeu encore plus doux, léger et éthéré (4' ou 2'; à partir de la lettre F retour à 8' très doux; G retour à 4' ou 2') 3. Illuminations célestes Jeu d'anches brillant.
