Die nostalgische Bezeichnung im Titel bezieht sich auf all das Schöne im Leben, das so schnell vergeht.

In this Concertino nostalgico the trumpet and the piano are treated equaly . The bright and heroic trumpet dominates the first and third movements, while the piano is leading the second. The cantilena is in the key of love (in D flat major).
The inclusion of the term 'nostalgia' in the title refers to those beautiful things in life which come and go too quickly.

Dans ce Concertino nostalgico, trompette et piano sont traités sur un pied d'égalité. La trompette claire et héroïque domine le premier et le troisième mouvement, tandis que le piano joue le premier rôle dans le second. La cantilène est dans la tonalité de l'amour (en Ré bémol majeur).
C'est parce que toutes les belles choses passent trop vite qu'apparaît le mot nostalgie dans le titre.
