Additional info/contents	Au coeur du Tibet (im Herzen Tibets) ist ein Auftragswerk zur Gründung der Vereinigung für die Entwicklung des Saxophons. Deren Mitglieder wollten dieses Ereignis mit verschiedenen Uraufführungen markieren, die alle gleichzeitig am 11. Februar 2000 in mehreren Schweizer Städten, sowie in Frankreich und den USA stattfinden sollten. In der Schweiz wurde dieses Stück von Laurent Estoppey (Sax) und Toni Albanese (Git.) in Genf, von Philippe Savoy (Sax) und Philippe Mottet (Git.) in Fribourg und von Daniel Gaggioli (Sax) und Eric Crausaz (Git.) in Düdingen uraufgeführt. Das Stück beginnt mit Rhythmen und Fingertrommeln auf dem Korpus der Gitarre. Dann, in einer langen, von Stille unterbrochenen Meditation, fängt das Herz zu schlagen an. Die Spannung steigt und kulminiert in einen sehr lebendigen und bewegungsreichen Teil, gefolgt von perkussiven Klappengeräuschen mit Gitarrenbegleitung , eine Reminiszens tibetanischer Klänge: gesprochene Parolen, ein tibetanisches Horn (Dung Chen) und eine Trommel, und das Herz schlägt wieder. Die tibetanische Klangschale beendet das Stück... und ich hoffe sie wird noch lange nachklingen... Caroline Charrière, Juli 2008 Au coeur du Tibet (In the Heart of Tibet) was commissioned by the - then newly founded - Association for the development of saxophone. The members wanted to mark that event with several first performances given simultaneously in different cities of Switzerland, France and United States, which all were schedulded February 11, 2000. The piece starts with rhythms and finger drummings on the soundboard of the guitar. Then, within a long meditation, the heart starts to beat, interrupted by silences. The tension culminates into a sequence full of life and movements, followed by rhythmical noises on the saxophone keys accompanied by the gitarre, as a reminiscence of tibetan sounds: spoken words, ritual horn (Dung Chen) and a drum. And the heart is beating again. A tibetan singing bowl is ending the piece and I hope it will keep resonding for a long time... Caroline Charrière, July 2008 Au coeur du Tibet m'a été commandé par l'Association pour le développement du saxophone qui venait d'être fondée. Leurs membres ont voulu marquer cet événement par plusieurs créations données simultanément dans plusieurs villes de Suisse ainsi qu'en France et aux Etats-Unis, se déroulant toutes le 11 février 2000. La pièce a été créée entre autres à Genève par Laurent Estoppey et Toni Albanese, à Fribourg par Philippe Savoy et Philippe Mottet, à Guin par Daniel Gaggioli et Eric Crausaz. La pièce débute avec des rythmes et un tambourinage sur le bois de la guitare, puis le coeur commence à battre, entrecoupé de silences, dans une longue méditation. La tension monte jusqu'à une partie pleine de vie et de mouvement. Puis après quelques percussions de clés accompagnées par la guitare, un rappel de sons tibétains: des mots parlés, une trompe (Dung Chen) et un tambour, et c'est le coeur qui reprend son battement. Le bol chantant tibétain termine la pièce, et j'espère qu'il résonnera longtemps encore... Caroline Charrière, juillet 2008 Gewicht: 0.09
