Der Interpret sollte seine Bewegungen und Gesten dem musikalischen Text anpassen. B2B is a piece inspired by listening to and seeing several masters of traditional drumming. Playing off one hand with the other in the air and turning a stick upside down thus playing with the tip and butt alternately are typical caracteristics of this art. From bar 59 to 65, the player will recognize some examples of typical dance rhythms which have followed the drum through the years. The motive in bars 70 to 73 (4.3.4.2) is typical from Icelandic folk songs/danses. The performer should of course find his own movements and gestures, though fulfilling the written music.
