Composer Smith, Charles W.
Difficulty level 4
Duration 5:00
Additional info/contents Instrumentation: Sax Choir (SSAAAATTBB)

This composition for saxophone choir was inspired when the composer first heard a large saxophone ensemble. It is intended to evoke the feelings he had as a child attending picnics in the summer, full of barbecue, baked goods, baseball and band music. This version was revised to all the bottom voice to played on a baritone saxophone equipped to play the low A. The original version (SU299A) requires the use of a bass saxopone, and is also available from the publisher. It is dedicated to Sigurd M. Rascher.
