Additional info/contents	"Towards the Future" was commissioned by the Nagoya City Bureau Band (Nagoya City Fire Department, Japan). The reason for this work, supported by the Nagoya City Fire Department, was the 150th anniversary of this orchestra, which played the premiere on February 7, 2009 under the direction of Masuo Nakamura. This concert march was written to encourage firefighters who save lives. The solemn, heartfelt melodies describe the courage firefighters demonstrate in the face of danger and their caring for the people they protect. This march is a great way to open a concert and lift the spirits of both musicians and listeners.
