Additional info/contents	Kenneth Downie, recently appointed the Bandmaster at Boscombe, was introduced to the banding world with his march 'Greenock Citadel'. We have other items awaiting publication and this, his first appearance in the Festival Series Journal, will give some idea of the vigorous, even flamboyant-side of his creative work. The Bandmaster reveals, in other work, a serene and steadily-paced side. Fascinating rhythms and syncopated figures are to be found everywhere, and we feel sure that bands will enjoy playing the piece; even better, it has been proved---by the International Staff Band---that listeners enjoy it as well!
