Additional info/contents	“The Spell” is the musical interpretation of an old legend from the Alpstein, a mystical mountain area in eastern Switzerland. According to legend, the shepherd boy Hennes looked after his animals in the alpine pastures, but many animals in the valleys fell ill with a terrible plague and died. Then the mountain spirit appeared to Hennes from the mists of the Säntis and the story took its course... The music of “The Spell” follows this legend by assigning musical motifs to the essential plot elements of the story: a technique that is often used in... late romantic symphonic repertoire by Wagner or Richard Strauss.
