Additional info/contents	Das Werk liegt uns in einem leider undatierten Autograph vor, das in der Düben-Sammlung aufbewahrt wird. Die Kantate vertont die Verse aus Jesus Sirach 50, 24–26. Die Komposition ist eine der reich besetzten Vokalkompositionen Buxtehudes. Ein Ritornell, das eine Fanfarenmusik der Trompeten und einen grösseren Vokalteil über 'Nun danket alle Gott' enthält, gliedert das Werk. In Nun danket alle Gott hat Buxtehude die Praxis des 'Capella-Einsatzes' des Chores zumindest an einer Stelle detailliert vorgeschrieben: Singen Solisten die von Instrumenten unbegleiteten Partien, tritt der Chor an den Tutti-Stellen hinzu.
