Additional info/contents	Nach der klangschönen 'Messe Sainte Cécile' von Gounod in einer Bearbeitung für SA Soli/Coro und Orgel (CV 27.025) legt Carus nun ein weiteres kirchenmusikalisches Werk des Komponisten vor: sein 'Te Deum' für Soli, Chor, zwei Harfen und zwei Orgeln (Chororgel und grosse Orgel). Das 1886 entstandene Werk verwirklicht eine 'strenge, fast asketische Sprache', 'eine verinnerlichte Ehrfurcht und Lobpreisung Gottes', wie der Herausgeber Peter Kaiser in seinem Vorwort formuliert.
