Additional info/contents	March Ponderoso is representative of a Karl King march at the higher level of difficulty. This march is scored in the keys of Eb and Ab major. The intoduction is immediate test of the technique of the low brass players. The first strain contains clarinet parts written in the trio register of the instrument (which may be played down an octave) as well as wonderful euphonium countermelodies. The trio is an ideal vehicle for showcasting the melodic capabilities of the euphonium and clarinet sections. The break strain, from the standpoint of technique, represents one of the great difficulty for all players. A sweeping scale passage in both euphoniums and French horns leads the band into the final driving strain.
