Additional info/contents	Commissioned by Dr. John Bradley, director of the Georgia Afro-American Jazz Ensemble, this beautiful, Basie-style ballad features solo Flugelhorn throughout. Piano and bass parts are fully notated, and the scoring requirements call for four trumpets plus flugel soloist. While much of the solo part is written out, a 36-bar ad lib section in the middle allows ample stretching room. In his score notes Jeff says the biggest challenge will be resisting the urge to rush the tempo as the music gets louder, and conversely, slowing down as the volume decreases.
