Definition/synonyms |
The horn, formerly known as the French horn and in orchestral literature also as the corno, is a brass or gold brass instrument. Characteristic of the horn is its design with a funnel mouthpiece, narrow conical bore, long tubing and wide bell (lintels), as well as the historical hand position with the right hand in the bell and the left at the valves.
